Based on a sample of manufacturing firms surveyd by the FED, the seasonally adjusted diffusion index for new orders (share of CEOs seeing a recent increase minus share reporting a decrease) stood at 4.8 in November 2025, compared to -1.7 in the previous month.
Sample. There are 258 data points overall in the monthly series presented in the graph above. The series covers the time period going from June 2004 to November 2025.
