Sample. There are 263 observations overall in the monthly series presented in the figure above. The period covered by the series stretches from June 2004 to April 2026.
History. Have a look at a few descriptive statistics computed on the whole sample: the diffusion index was equal on average to 18.3; it recorded a bottom of -41.2 in April 2020; it attained a maximum of 60.4 in November 2004.
