Based on firms' responses to the Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey carried out by the Dallas FED, the seasonally adjusted diffusion index for the growth rate of orders (share of CEOs seeing a future increase minus share reporting a decrease) was 34.8 in October 2026, compared to 29.2 in September 2026.
Sample. There are 269 data points in the monthly series presented in the figure above. The series covers the time span stretching from June 2004 to October 2026.
